The Oscars

Like the majority of America, we were glued to our television last night watching the Oscars. Overall, it seems that the women were not taking much risks with their dresses this year. But there were some that stood out among the rest.

Honorable Mentions-
Mila Kunis wore a gorgeous lavender Elie Saab Haute Couture gown. As much as we are in love with this dress, we wanted to see her in a form fitting gown with slicked back hair.
There is no denying how stunning Michelle Williams looked in this Chanel gown. We just wish she would have taken a bigger risk as we've seen this gown, numerous times. We loved her short pixie bleached hair with dark brows though.
Amy Adams wore a beautiful navy L'Wren Scott gown. Why she decided to cover up that gorgeous neckline we don't know.
Jennifer Lawrence looked stunning in this red Calvin Klein dress. Even though clean and simple is "in" right now, we wish she would have worn one big glamorous necklace or earrings- it's the Oscars!

Favorites-
Although we're not a huge fan of Celine Dion, we must admit she was stunning on the red carpet. Dressed in a beautiful silver lame Giorgio Armani Prive gown with a stunning necklace, she made our best dressed list.
Camila Alves looked incredible in Kaufman Franco. The classic cut and deep neckline of this dress made us swoon!
Gwyneth Paltrow was perfect on the red carpet. Her long blonde smooth locks accented this Calvin Klein dress to a tee. She looked fresh and modern.
Cate Blanchett was unbelievable in her Givenchy's spring collection. The armor like bodice, the lavender and mustard yellow and the stunning back was the risk we were looking for on the red carpet. Cate Blanchett pulled this off flawlessly.

BEST DRESSED:
Rhea Durham, another risk taker, wore a red, cream and gold gown by Naeem Khan. We loved the flowing red bottom half with a more structured gold adorned top. It was unique and beautiful and easily won our best dressed vote for the evening.
